How to Apply as an Existing Signatures Artisan

Shop Signatures is an online juried marketplace open to all Canadian artists, artisans, designers, and makers who are the creators of their works. All products represented on Shop Signatures must meet the existing jury criteria of Signatures. For more information on our jurying criteria, please visit our website. To begin the jurying process, you must complete and submit our application. Follow the steps below to apply.

If you have participated in a Signatures show within the last 5 years, you will not have to include supporting documentation in your application. Follow the steps below to apply.

  1. Visit shop.signatures.ca/apply
  2. Fill in each required field. Below is an explanation of each field:
    • First Name: your given name
    • Last Name: your surname
    • Email Address: your primary email address to which all Shop Signatures correspondence will be sent
    • Company Name: your company’s name, as it will appear in your shop
    • Shop URL: your shop’s custom URL – it is set by default as the company name you entered in the above field, but can be changed to anything you deem appropriate. If the custom URL you entered has already been taken, you will receive an error message and you must enter a different URL.
    • Public Company Location: your company’s address, which will be visible to customers – begin typing your address in the “Search address” bar at the top of the map and it will appear in a drop-down list. Click on the correct address to set your location.
    • Address: your company’s address, which will be visible to customers – some of the fields may be filled in automatically based on the address you entered in the map above.
    • Phone Number: your company’s phone number
    • Password: enter a password to use in your Shop Signatures login – passwords must contain a minimum of 8 characters with one special character (!@#$%^&*) and one number.
    • Confirm Password: re-enter your password, exactly as you entered it in the field above – if you do not re-enter the password correctly, you will receive an error message prompting you to re-enter it correctly.
    • Have you ever participated in a Signatures Show?: leave the box “Yes I have participated in a Signatures Show in the last 5 years” marked as checked
    • Comments and requests: this is an optional field where you can enter anything that we should be aware of in regards to your application
  3. Read our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy
  4. Click on the box marked “I am the creator and producer of the products that I intend to sell on Shop Signatures. I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy”.
  5. Click on the “Apply” button. A confirmation page will appear and you will receive a confirmation email shortly.
