A slab of Raku clay is pressed onto a rhubarb leaf.  The leaf is pulled away leaving behind all the beautiful vein details.  It is then placed into a slump mold.  I sculpted a cute little frog on the side.  After bisque firing it is finished with raku glazes, fired again to 1010 Celsius, pulled from the kiln red hot and reduced in a chamber with combustible materials.  This Raku process produces colorful, lustrous and dramatic effects.  Each piece is unique.

39 cm wide x 34 cm tall x 8 cm deep.

If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact me. If you wish to make a return, you have 14 days to do so once received. The piece must arrive back to Madd Mud intact; I will then refund the cost of the work (not any shipping costs incurred by Madd Mud). You are responsible for the return shipping costs. To date I have yet to have any piece returned. I have only had one piece arrive broken. If this happens I will require pictures of both the box it was delivered in and the broken piece. This will enable me to make a claim with Canada Post.
