The bird and heart is truly a mini piece of wearable art. As you wear the this heart and bird pendant the heart moves with you. This allows a free a movement that is ever changing. The small heart has been hand hammered by me using 18th century silver smithing tools found in England. Small leafs are hammered on to the surface of the sterling silver. The small cut glass charm catches the light very gently as you move. And the tiny little bird looks at adoringly up at you.
This little bird is first hand drawn by myself. The drawing is then imported into software for my cutting machine. After the shape has been cut I hand print a pattern which we design on to the shape. I hand paint the fine small details like the eyes, beak, tail and the ruby edge. Each bird is hand glazed  before assembling it. They are decorated on both sides.

This shape is made of birch wood which is from Canada.

The pattern is hand created by my husband Graham Cope. He enjoys designing patterns with me for our jewellery collection.
