This precious memories brooch and pendant features exquisite artwork illustrated by my mom, Raquel Baranyai. My mother studied art at Ontario College of Art when I was growing up and she’s a master of colour pencil work. This sepia toned illustration depicts my sister feeding her doll when she was four. Illustrated from a photo my father took many years ago, this little work of art is a family collaboration so to speak. I have taken a digital copy of my mother’s impeccable artwork and transferred it onto luminous Mother of Pearl. The image allows the natural shell nacre glow through and reflect the light.

This gorgeous brooch, set in a hand-soldered Art Nouveau style frame, features a bale on the back, making it easily convertible from brooch to necklace. The image is top-coated with a thick clear resin coat for excellent protection and high-gloss shine.

The brooch measures 2 1/4 inches by 1 3/8 inches and comes with a 17 to 20 inch adjustable chain.
