Inspired by my homeland of Scotland, and my love of books, I created this bookmark using tartan ribbon I bought in Scotland, plus a Celtic knot in silver coloured metal alloy and a gold coloured metal alloy bee on one end, plus a mix of coordinating beads and crystals on the other end.

This particular one is inspired by the Outlander books and bees, and by my beautiful Caledonian homeland and Pictish heritage. Many Celtic knotwork designs were carved by the ancient Pict people into large standing stones in the Angus area where I lived, and can still be seen today.

Designed by me and handmade by my own Scottish hands. I grew up and lived in North East Scotland, but now live in the beautiful countryside of Alberta, Western Canada on our garlic farm where we have our workshop.

This lovely bookmark makes a beautiful gift for booklovers, journal writers, mothers, fathers, diary keepers, and lovers of Scotland everywhere.

The tartan ribbon is narrow at 7mm wide and the tartan is red Royal Stewart, made of 100% polyester.

The bookmark is sized for a regular hardback novel with the ribbon part being at least 10 inches long, so the ends are not inside the book.
