The Other Side

CAN YOU SEE THE HIPPO? At first glance these beautiful photographs of Canada’s natural spaces are a pleasure to look at  but the true art is in the details. With a closer look this popular and fun “Search & Inspire” series of Earthprints will sweep the viewer away into an interactive and imaginative journey of discovery. It’s a great conversation piece and the whole experience has a mindful, calming and therapeutic effect on viewers of all ages. It’s a great exercise for your brain! This enjoyable experience can leave you with a greater appreciation for what can go unseen in nature. You may even find yourself more open, aware and connected to seeing the magic in the details of the natural world around you. The art in the Earth.

After taking one of these photographs I spend weeks studying it for imagery that I see emanating from the natural forms of trees, rocks and sky. Then I begin to very subtly define what I see with paints on the surface of the photograph. On the back of each hand signed  Earthprint I include the full numbered list of all of the hidden imagery that I have interpreted. If what you see isn’t on the list on the back… it is your own imagination. I intentionally leave room to inspire that to happen.
