This gorgeous natural color Turquoise cabochon was Wire Wrapped with 14kt Gold Filled Wire. It has the most popular sky blue color. Most top quality Turquoise today, like this gemstone, is stabilized, for good reasons. This beautiful stone in nature is naturally porous and can change in color brought on by the influence of light, perspiration, oils and cosmetics. I only used the stabilized material, which is also much more expensive, but will not change color. No artificial dyes have been used to improve or enhance the color.

Its unique shade of blue, often blue-green, lends it name, Turquoise beads dating back to 5000 B.C. have been found in Iraq, and the Egyptians were mining the stones in the Sinai in 3200 B.C.
